Angus is Scottish, an industrial, interior and furniture designer/maker with many years experience in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. He spent the last twelve years as a senior lecturer in the School of Design at the local Polytechnic and with the help of his wife Rene and two sons Ian and Callum has been restoring the Rookery.

Rene is Australian, she lived in the UK for seventeen years where she met and married Angus. She worked in medical research in London and later for the UK agent of the Austrian printing company Rueff. To see the world famous headquarters, visit rueff.at. Ian is our elder son, is a Mechanical Engineering honours graduate from Canterbury University. He has had considerable input into The Rookery and lives and works in Christchurch.
Callum our younger son, also lives in Christchurch where he is studying at Canterbury University for a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Like his brother, Callum has played a pivotal role in the conversion of our home.
Cleopatra and Caesar, our two cats complete our household. On visiting us you will be given a warm and friendly welcome.
